To date, the new train for German operator Deutsche Bahn has covered over 250,000 kilometers in test and licensing runs. 

Siemens is one of the world‘s leading manufacturers of high-speed trains. Velaro is one of the most reliable trains in all the countries in which it is deployed (26 trains in operation in Spain, 240 in China, eight in Russia, with eight more under construction). 

Velaro trains have already traveled over 150 million operational kilometers without a significant technical failure. In Spain and Russia, Siemens is also responsible for Velaro maintenance.

Velaro CN

Since August 1 2008 five CRH 3 trains are running between the two Olympic sports venues. China Rail ordered a total of 60 Velaro trains. Three of them have been built in Krefeld in Germany, while the other 57 units are being built at Tangshan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works in Tangshan. The picture shows the Velaro CN on the high-speed route near Beijing.

Vectron

Vectron has now received its unlimited homologation for Sweden.

Following Poland, Romania, Germany and Austria, this is the fifth national homologation in Europe.

Previously Vectron had a temporary homologation in Sweden.
The homologation process is also underway for further nations, including Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland.
