Deutsche Bahn

To date, the new train for German operator Deutsche Bahn has covered over 250,000 kilometers in test and licensing runs.

Siemens is one of the world‘s leading manufacturers of high-speed trains. Velaro is one of the most reliable trains in all the countries in which it is deployed (26 trains in operation in Spain, 240 in China, eight in Russia, with eight more under construction).

Velaro trains have already traveled over 150 million operational kilometers without a significant technical failure. In Spain and Russia, Siemens is also responsible for Velaro maintenance.

Velaro CN

Since August 1 2008 five CRH 3 trains are running between the two Olympic sports venues. China Rail ordered a total of 60 Velaro trains. Three of them have been built in Krefeld in Germany, while the other 57 units are being built at Tangshan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works in Tangshan. world record speed of 404

The Velaro is the fastest series-produced train in the world.
In the future the Spanish National Railway Renfe will operate the Siemens Velaro high-speed trainset
(named AVE S 103) at a regular speed of 350 km/h.

In 2006, the Velaro reached the world record speed of 404 km/h.

ICE 3,350 km/h

In Oct 1903 the Siemens three-phase show railcar achieved a rate of 210 km/h between Marienfelde and Zossen near Germany.

The Velaro system is based on a allocated grip system idea, which means that the generate practice and all specialized segments are allocated within the end of the practice.

As a result, the entire duration of the practice is available for travelers, leading to 20 percent more space. The ICE 3 for Deutsche Bahn AG and the Velaro E in The country are the first Western high-speed, distributed-traction teaches.

Velaro’s idea allows the smooth incorporation of Western practice protection and interaction techniques. The globe's quickest series-built practice gets to a top rate of 350 km/h and provides convenience and technological innovation of the biggest category.

Energy-Efficient Transportation

An integral approach is essential for ensuring that modern rail systems remain viable into the future. In addition to next-generation technology and comfort, Velaro’s top qualities also include efficiency and environmental compatibility.

Eight cars with two bogies each offer maximum transport efficiency over a 200-meter length. Up to 510 seats are possible with classic seating, and additional configurations provide space for up to 1,243 passengers, for the most energy-efficient transportation possible. Velaro is aerodynamically optimized: a fully elevated roof section reduces sonic boom in tunnels.

Roof-mounted equipment is fully encased and the spoiler, nose, and front section have been aerodynamically refined. Energy efficiency is also enhanced by the feeding of surplus braking energy back into the power grid. The overall result is equivalent to a gasoline consumption of 0.33 liters per person and 100 kilometers reduced energy consumption and reduced CO2 emissions that also benefit our environment.
